One of the unfortunate aspects of keeping this blog is that I can't write down EVERYTHING that goes on in my life. For instance, I have to keep somewhat politically correct about work related matters lest someone get pissed at my permanent record of my opinion and...well bad things, man; bad things. I can say that work has been pretty good lately.

I'm happy to be getting more defined "direction" so that I can actually row the boat correctly, and more good changes are on the way. I met with User's Group this evening and presented our solutions for their professional consideration. Overall I thought that it was a good meeting, although it stretched my day into a 14-hour shift. Remarkably, I still have the energy to write this blog entry. ;-) Gotta keep all of fans entertained!

I managed to write some code last weekend, but got hung up on the .NET Framework encryption functionality and how I should best persist the public/private key information for the server-side of the application. I guess that I really just need to work with the XML DOM a bit more to better understand it's true benefit, so I think that I need to write a small test app and run through some MSDN examples. No biggie, but I was kind of bummed that I didn't accomplish more code. I guess that's what happens when you make the decision to require secure communications for your Internet application. Believe me though, I'm also going to take a strong look at integrating client-side SSL and Certificates to eliminate all of this overhead from my plate. I mean, what the hell, shouldn't I be spending my time on product features and not infrastructure? Duh!

Poker is, well, non-existent these days it seems. I never made it to the card room. I have in-fact forgotten the feel of green felt. Ya, I've been playing on-line here and there, but that just isn't in the same vicinity as playing "for real". I have published three of my articles on my personal site for your viewing pleasure. They were originally posted on Poker Clan message board in their own coveted group, but they seem to have been relegated to the normal chatter since I didn't write anything new in a while. No worries, I still love Linda. ;-) Here are the links:

The Life Lesson

The Frog Guy

The Chatter Box

I'm also editing my next essay, so stay tuned for that post any day now...
